Desiccation
Desiccation is the process of extreme drying (or the state of dryness). Desiccants are hygroscopic substances (which mean they are able to attract water molecules from their surroundings) that promote or sustain desiccation. Simply put: Desiccants are materials used for moisture control by lowering the levels of humidity in enclosed areas.

Silica Gel desiccant and Calcium Chloride are used in Get-Dry home dehumidifiers. Calcium Chloride is used in GD-Pro and features an extremely high absorption rate. Silica Gel desiccant is an odorless, non-toxic material which absorbs water in its internal pores and is used in our GD-2000 and GD-1000 models. Silica Gel desiccant can be regenerated (usually by heat) and used over and over again.

The "EGG" GD-1000
The "egg shaped" home dehumidifier has a unique design that makes them ideal for specific domestic uses. It is both an efficient moisture control device and a decorative item that fits on any book shelf, inside the piano or in a child's room. The "egg" is filled with Silica Gel desiccant (also known as "water glass"): An odorless, non-toxic and inflammable material with a high water absorption capacity. Silica Gel desiccant absorbs large amounts of water without changing its solid nature. It doesn't only provide maximal moisture control; it can also be regenerated and reused over and over again.

GD-1000 has a color indicator designed to inform when the Silica Gel desiccant inside the "egg" is dry (Blue) or saturated (pink) and the device needs to be drained. To drain it all you have to do is to put it in the Microwave for 10 minutes and it is "Good as new".

THE "SHOES" GD-2000
These cordless home dehumidifiers have a unique "shoes" design that makes them ideal for specific domestic and outdoor uses. They use Silica Gel desiccant that can be regenerated and reused over and over again - When the indicator shows the shoe is saturated (the color turns from blue to pink) simply plug it in the electric socket and in 6-8 hours it is ready to use again..!

It is ideal for drying shoes, in linen drawersand in small spaces (behind books) where the Egg shaped (Gd-1000) dehumidifier is too big.

THE "PROFESSIONAL" GD-PRO
This powerful business & home dehumidifier accommodates up to 1000cc/34Ounce of water that is removed from the air within 5-7 days. That is almost 12 times (!) faster than standard home dehumidifiers.
GD-Pro uses a battery-operated fan to draw the humid air through its special air passage. There, it contacts the Calcium Chloride desiccation material to turn moist air to dry air + water in its container.
